Detectives Identify Body Found In Alley

A man found dead by bicyclists in a Spokane alley on Sunday has been identified as 28-year-old Joseph Gustafson, police said.

Autopsy results on Monday showed that he died of stab wounds, police said.

Gustafson was found south of the 2500 block of East Sinto. An investigation into his death continues.

The person of interest officers want to question has not been found, spokesman Dick Cottam said.

The house at 2500 E. Sinto was searched. Police would not say why or what was found.
