Vitamins, Minerals Vital During Pregnancy

In addition to a balanced diet that includes whole foods such as fruits, vegetables and grains, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends the following daily supplement amounts for key vitamins and minerals during pregnancy:

Vitamin B-6: 2 milligrams.

Vitamin C: 50 milligrams.

Vitamin D: 0.5 milligrams.

Calcium: 250 milligrams.

Copper: 2 milligrams.

Folate: 0.3 milligrams.

Iron: 30 milligrams.

Zinc: 15 milligrams.
