Gingrich On Gingrich

With one publisher’s deadline already past, House Speaker Newt Gingrich is hard at work during the congressional recess writing a new book. He is getting no payment up front for the book, but he’s hoping to use the royalties to help pay off a $300,000 ethics penalty. Publication of the book, with working title “Lessons Learned the Hard Way,” is planned for April. A spokesman for the publisher, Harper-Collins, said it will catalog “the principles that have governed (Gingrich’s) life, both personal and political, and the lessons he has learned along the way.”
