A Fish Story First

Divers have finally recovered a mysterious apricot bass, a 1-inch, deep-sea denizen that thus far has resisted capture, though it is sometimes seen washed up dead on the shore in Cuba and the Bahamas. A team of researchers brought up the brilliant orange and red creature from 300 feet - in careful increments over three days because a sudden change in pressure would have killed it. The apricot bass now calls the Curacao Seaquarium home.
