Gonzaga Off To Fast Start

Lydia Ledgerwood hit 8 of 9 shots from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Gonzaga Bulldogs to an 87-46 non-conference basketball win over Eastern Washington at Martin Centre Thursday.

Ledgerwood, who also connected on 10 of 13 free throws, finished with a game-high 26 points. Jessica Waltz came off the bench to score 13 points for the Zags (1-0).

Substitute Quisha Galloway topped the Eagles (0-1) with 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting.
