Hints From Heloise

FRIDAY, NOV. 21, 1997

Dear Heloise: It is sometimes tricky to reheat leftovers in the microwave, particularly something like quiche or a casserole with crumb topping, which can become soggy.

It helps to reheat the item in the microwave on medium power until heated through, then place it in a 350-degree oven for five to 10 minutes to crisp. - Claire Drew, Louisville, Ky.

Dear Heloise: I have a hint for what to do with all of those instructions for crafts that you want to keep for future use.

I got a cardboard shoe-storage box and laid it flat. The compartments are just the right size for any 8-1/2-by-11-inch paper or catalogs. I even labeled the compartments for easier locating. It works for me. - Jean Leighton, Simi Valley, Calif.

Send a great hint to, Heloise, PO Box 795000, San Antonio TX 78279-5000, or fax it to 210-HELOISE.
