Wineries Have Ideas For Your Christmas List

Thanksgiving hasn’t even arrived, yet some are already in the thick of Christmas shopping.

Spokane wineries are doing their part by throwing their annual holiday open houses today, Saturday and Sunday.

Each spot will be doing its own special thing. At Latah Creek, they will serve smoked turkey and cranberry sauce made with chenin blanc. Worden’s will feature a showing of the work of Rachel Petit. Knipprath will pour hot spiced wine. Caterina will offer nibbles from Catered Ambiance and at Arbor Crest, tasters can indulge in homemade chocolates.

Mountain Dome will walk visitors through its bottling line and offer barrel samples from this year’s harvest.

All wineries will showcase gift ideas and have discount prices on selected wines. Special hours for this event are from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

For additional information, or directions, call the wineries. (They’re all listed in the Yellow Pages.)
