‘Year Of The Horse’ Gives Flavor Of Tour

Dave Kelley

An honest, gritty documentary that begs to be cranked follows one of rock’s true mavericks through his illustrious 30-year career. Lovingly shot on grainy Super 8mm film by Jim Jarmusch, “Year of the Horse” covers the fights, the ODs and the ragged glory that come with touring with Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Even if you’re not a big fan of Young’s music, you can still appreciate his undying sincerity and spirit of rock ‘n’ roll.
