ABL

Player-coach Teresa Edwards scored an ABL record 46 points Friday night to lead the visiting Atlanta Glory past the Seattle Reign 89-84.

Edwards broke her own record of 42 points set against Seattle last season. She shot 16 of 27 from the field and 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

“I didn’t feel it was my best performance,” she said. “I’ve had better performances and scored less. I was just worried about the win.”

With the score tied at 49, the Reign (5-11) scored 17 straight points to lead 66-49.

The Glory (6-8) chipped away at the lead and tied the score at 79 after Edwards hit two 3-pointers.
