From Staff And Wire Reports

North Idaho College students will have a human rights rally at 10:10 a.m. Monday in the school’s Boswell Hall Schuler Auditorium.

“We encourage everyone on campus to take a positive stand and send a message to the community that hate messages and crimes will not be tolerated,” said Josh Buehner, president of the NIC Human Equality Club.

The club is sponsoring the rally along with the Associated Students of NIC.

Guest speakers will be NIC President Ron Bell, who recently attended the White House Conference on Hate Crimes; speech instructor Mona Klinger; students Shaswati Roy and Bwana Johnson; cultural diversity adviser Monte Twin; and community member Pat Johnson.
