Auditions Scheduled For Upcoming Plays

Both Spokane Civic Theatre and Spokane Children’s Theatre will be holding auditions in the next couple of weeks.

Civic needs a lot of men (and one woman) for its Main Stage production of “A Few Good Men.”

Director Melody Deatherage will conduct auditions at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 at the theater, 1020 N. Howard.

She needs 15 to 18 men from their early 20s to early 50s to portray military officers and enlisted personnel. Actors of color are encouraged to audition. The men must be willing to wear their hair “high and tight.”

The play also calls for one woman in her late 20s or early 30s.

Auditioners are asked to read the script. Copies, with a $5 deposit, are available at the theater.

The production is scheduled to run April 3-25.

Spokane Children’s Theatre needs five adult men, two adult women and several children at least 10 years old for its production of “Pegora the Witch.”

Tryouts will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, and 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at St. Aloysius School, 611 E. Mission.

Auditioners are asked to prepare a one-minute song; an accompanist will be provided.
