Hey, It’s A Zoo Out There

Dern, a 6-month-old blue-eyed lemur, leans on her mother, 12-year-old Bacall, during their formal debut last week at the Los Angeles Zoo after their arrival from Duke University’s Primate Center in Durham, N.C. Seems papa Cagney chose to keep a low profile. The Los Angeles Zoo is the fourth zoo in the United States to display the endangered species, which is native to Madagascar, and will attempt to facilitate more breeding.
