Debby Wyman Kootenai, Idaho

Memorial service for Debby Lee Wyman, 41, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Sandpoint Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inurnment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wyman, who was born in Mountain Home, Idaho, died Sunday.

She grew up in Hammett, Idaho, and attended school in Glenns Ferry, Idaho.

Mrs. Wyman had worked for a potato processing plant in Mountain Home before living in Wyoming and Arco, Idaho.

She moved to Sandpoint in 1983 and had worked as a certified nurses assistant at Sandpoint Manor. She also worked for Encoder in production.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Wyman is survived by her husband, Rick; a daughter, Chris “Debra” Baker of Sandpoint; a son, Ray Wyman of Kootenai; her mother, Lois Good of Hammett; three brothers, Jerry and Bill Good, both of Hammett, and James Good of Deer Park; two sisters, Catherine Nutter of Helena and JoAnne Heath of Glenns Ferry; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Baker of Sandpoint.

Mary Peters Port Angeles, Wash.

Memorial service for Mary Patricia Peters, 76, will be at 10 a.m. today at Queen of Angels Church in Port Angeles. Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel in Port Angeles is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peters, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.

She graduated from Chewelah (Wash.) High School and worked for a short time as a bank teller in Ketchikan, Alaska.

She moved to Spokane and in 1973, married Eugene Peters.

She was a homemaker, and also worked as a bank teller and secretary.

Mrs. Peters lived in Spokane most of her life, until moving to Port Angeles 10 years ago.

Memberships include the Clallam County Humane Society, Queen of Angels Church and the senior center.

Her husband died in 1995.

Mrs. Peters is survived by two daughters, Margaret Carr of Port Angeles and Trish Perrott of Springfield, Ore.

Zella Coulston Sandpoint

Memorial service for Zella Mae Coulston, 76, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mountain Vista Care Center in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Coulston, who was born in Ohio, died Monday.

She moved to Noxon, Mont., as a child and then to Hope, Idaho, where she graduated from Hope High School in 1939.

Mrs. Coulston lived in Trestle Creek and owned the Trestle Creek Inn for 17 years. She later worked for the Station Restaurant in Sandpoint.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Al Moore and Roland Coulston.

Survivors include a son, Richard Moore of Moscow, Idaho; two daughters, Kaye Harrison of Oregon and Faye McDermott of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Melva and Marjorie, both of Spanaway, Wash.; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Macleod Spokane

Memorial service for Kenneth G. Macleod, 72, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery. A private inurnment will follow. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Macleod, who was born in Everett, died Monday.

He served in the Navy during World War II and Korea.

He worked as a truck driver with the Teamsters and moved to Spokane 10 years ago.

Mr. Macleod was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 51, American Legion of the Marine Corps League and the Retired Teamsters.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Mary; two sons, Jeff Macleod of El Cajon, Calif., and Kevin Macleod of San Diego; five stepdaughters, Sally Aleto of Spokane, Holly Hollander and Mamie Edwards, both of California, and Cindy Sewell and Lynn Alcala, both of Texas; a stepson, Bruce Thompson of California; two sisters, Natalie Thomas and Janet Richards, both of Lincolnville, Maine; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Clarence ‘Bud’ Jordan Spokane

Funeral service for Clarence A. “Bud” Jordan, 85, was Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Interment followed at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Jordan, who was born in Jamestown, N.D., died Thursday.

He worked as an auto technician for American Motors.

Mr. Jordan was a member of the Washington State Trappers Association.

His wife, Minnie Jordan, died in 1989.

He is survived by a daughter, Lurane Johnson of Spokane; three sons, Chuck and Clyde Jordan, both of Deer Park, and Elzya Jordan of Spokane; four sisters, Mary Link of Mead, Lloy McGee of Clark Fork, Idaho, Patricia Knutsen of Lacrosse, Wash., and Hazel Dawson of Goldbar, Wash.; four brothers, Arnold Jordan of Turner, Ore., Harvey and Ralph Jordan, both of Coeur d’Alene, and Leslie Jordan of San Mateo, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Arthur Gustafson Spokane

Visitation for Arthur J. Gustafson, 83, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Gustafson, who was a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Monday.

He worked as an electrician and retired in 1976.

Mr. Gustafson was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Spokane Motorcycle Club, and helped to coordinate the Hill Climb event in the early 1930’s and ‘40s.

He also served on the board of examiners for the IBEW in Spokane.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marjorie; two daughters, Judy Bell of Everett and Sheryl Rupert of Spokane; a son, Jan Gustafson of Spokane; a sister, Edna Tweedy of Spokane; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Betty Seubert Spokane

No service will be held for Betty M. Suebert. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Seubert, 86, died Monday.

She was born in Chicago and moved to Spokane at the age of 13.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph.

James Fisher Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for James K. Fisher, 44, will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home. Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Fisher, who was born in Nevada, died Friday.

He grew up and graduated from high school in Reno, Nev., and served with the Army until 1976.

Mr. Fisher then returned to Reno and joined the Sparks (Nev.) Police Department and settled in Washoe Valley, Nev. He served there for 18 years before retiring and moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1996.

Mr. Fisher was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hayden 2nd Ward, and also coached youth sports programs and was a demolition car driver.

Survivors include his wife, Shani; two sons, James Fisher of Nevada and Derek Fisher at home; two daughters, Jackie Fisher of Nevada and Brieanna Fisher at home; his father, Gerard Fisher of Nevada; his mother, Lois Skroch of Wyoming; and one sister, Janet Fisher of Nevada.

Deanna (Jones) Irwin Spokane

Memorial wake for Deanna Lynn (Jones) Irwin, 37, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 10109 N. Fleetwood. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Irwin, who was born in Spokane, died Saturday of cirrhosis of the liver.

She graduated in 1977 from Rogers High School.

Mrs. Irwin worked for ISC Systems Corp. in Spokane, CDI Corp. in Redmond, Wash., and Eldec Corp. in Lynnwood, Wash., where she was an electronic assembler.

She moved to Seattle 11 years ago.

Mrs. Irwin played for the J&S Swingers softball team.

Survivors include her mother, Charlie Brown of Spokane; and two sisters, Marian Gamble of Spokane and Nicole Brugler of Graham, Wash.

Florence Bay Spokane

Funeral Mass for Florence M. Bay, 88, will be at 12:30 p.m. today at St. Mary Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bay, who was born in Gould City, Mich., died Friday.

She married Alvia Bay in 1950.

A 55-year resident of Spokane, Mrs. Bay worked as a receptionist for 15 years for Thornhill Gerghty and Langbehn Funeral Home.

She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bay is survived by two sons, Raymond Powis of Redmond, Wash., and Roy Powis of Spokane; a daughter, Doris Schoenberg of Post Falls; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Grace Broadbent Spokane

Private graveside service for Grace E. Broadbent, 81, will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Broadbent, who was born in Roxbury, Mass., died Monday.

She moved from Providence, R.I., to Spokane in 1974.

Mrs. Broadbent worked for Armour Meats Inc. until her retirement.

Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Broadbent is survived by a son, David Wordell of Clarkston, Wash.; a sister, Marion Humphreys of Clarkston; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

William ‘Bill’ Woodman Spokane

Memorial service for William C. “Bill” Woodman, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be held.

Mr. Woodman, who was a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Sunday.

He graduated from North Central High School and worked for Marshall Wells and Safeway.

He played the trumpet for the Dutch Groshoff Dance Band.

Mr. Woodman was a member of the Musicians Union, the Teamsters Union and the Home Owners Association of Priest Lake, Idaho.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Alice; a son, Dan Woodman; a daughter, Nancy Jo Stamper; a brother, Tom Woodman; and a granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

James Garrett Spokane

Memorial service for James O. Garrett, 61, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Mr. Garrett, a 40-year resident of Spokane, died Sunday.

He was born in Worland, Wyo., and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Garrett later worked as a lineman for various construction firms.

Survivors include a son, Jim Garrett of Colbert; a daughter, Nancy Winebrenner of Hot Springs, Mont.; his mother, Janetta Garrett of Spokane; three sisters, Mary Jones of Mexico, Betty Hildeshiem of Post Falls and Pat Garrett of Spokane; and seven grandchildren.

Brian Carrigan Seattle

Services for Brian L. Carrigan, 38, are pending. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville, Wash., is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Carrigan, who was born in Spokane, died Monday from complications associated with cancer.

He graduated in 1977 from Shadle Park High School.

He worked for Chapter Eleven restaurant in Spokane and later for Marriott Corporation in Seattle.

Mr. Carrigan had lived in Seattle during the past two years.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Carrigan of Spokane; and a brother, Doug Carrigan of Spokane.

Gary McCarty Spokane

A memorial service for Gary A. McCarty, 47, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pines Mausoleum. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Clarkston, Wash., Mr. McCarty died Monday.

He worked for a trailer manufacturer in Spokane.

Mr. McCarty is survived by his mother, Betty McCarty of Spokane; a sister, Mary Wilson of Spokane; and three brothers, Bill Palmer and Jerry McCarty, both of Spokane, and Bob McCarty of Auburn, Wash.

Phyllis Downie Spokane

Graveside service for Phyllis P. Downie, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Interment will follow the service. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Downie, who was born in Phillip, S.D., died Tuesday.

She was a 47-year resident of Spokane and was a homemaker.

Her husband, Jack, died in 1993.

She is survived by a son, Steve Downie of Nine Mile Falls; a daughter, Katherine Laitala of Minnesota; and seven grandchildren.
