The Rogers Revival is picking up steam again.

Rogers (7-4) won its fourth consecutive Greater Spokane League volleyball match Thursday, rallying for a 12-15, 12-15, 15-12, 15-6, 15-4 decision at Shadle Park.

The Pirates had their first winning season since 1982 last year. They are 18-9 in GSL matches since second-year coach Anna Vanderpool took over.

Shadle (7-4) defeated Rogers in five games when the teams met Sept. 20.

The Highlanders, one-half game behind third-place Lewis and Clark, lost all-league returner Michelle Etter because of an injured ankle in the second game. Etter required X-rays.

Elsewhere, second-place Ferris (10-1) scored 29 consecutive points during a 15-11, 15-0, 15-10 win at Gonzaga Prep (4-7).

Ferris broke from an 11-all tie in the first game and scored the first 10 points of the final game.

Central Valley (5-6) defeated visiting Mt. Spokane 15-6, 15-5, 15-13 despite 12 serving errors. The Wildcats (0-11) trailed the third game 13-5 before clawing close.

Colville (7-0) used a 7-0 run in the fourth game for a 15-10, 14-16, 15-4, 15-6 win at Deer Park that tied the Indians for first place in the Great Northern League with idle Newport.

The Stags (3-5) suffered a blow when setter Rebecca Magart hurt her ankle and left the match.

Colville is host to Newport on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Lakeside (4-3) overcame an ankle injury to Brianne Jolley to defeat visiting Medical Lake 15-8, 15-11, 15-10 at Nine Mile Falls.

The Cardinals (2-5), who trailed the first game 11-2 when Jolley left, reeled off six consecutive points. Nikki Petticrew guided the Eagles with 19 digs and 15 kills.

Jolley may return after the weekend.

Tara Sheppard served 14 of 14 during visiting Chewelah’s 15-5, 15-1, 15-4 win over Riverside (0-7) at Chattaroy. Chrissy Oneal of the Cougars (3-4) had six digs, four kills and four aces.
