Police Offer Access To Radar Reader Boards

From Staff Reports

Coeur d’Alene police are offering the use of a radar gun and reader board to residents concerned about speeders in their neighborhoods.

The unit displays the car’s speed next to a sign showing the posted speed limit. Log sheets to keep track of speeds and times also will be provided.

Police will use the log sheets to determine when and where to position a patrol car if the speeding problem persists, said Steve Lourenco, Coeur d’Alene crime prevention officer.

Call Lourenco at 769-2320 to check out the unit. , DataTimes
