Teenager Killed When Car Hits Tree

A 15-year-old boy died Friday when the car he was driving slammed into a tree south of Harrison, Idaho.

Miles Jones of Medimont was driving on Ogara Road near the junction of U.S. Highway 97 and Idaho Highway 3 about 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the car, the Idaho State Police said.

Three passengers from Harrison were in Jones’ 1983 Toyota Corolla, troopers said.

Dave Lamb, 15, was treated and released from Benewah Community Hospital. Edward G. Leonard, 17, and Nicholas Perea, 15, were in critical condition late Friday at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.
