The Master Sleuths

Possibly shedding light on part of the largest art theft in U.S. history, ABC News and the Boston Herald have obtained a series of photographs allegedly showing two stolen Rembrandts stored in a hidden location. One of the unnamed works is shown above. The Gardner Museum said it will be about a week before art experts can say whether the photographs are authentic. Anchor Peter Jennings, with reporter Brian Ross, showed the photographs Friday on “World News Tonight With Peter Jennings.”
