Photography Workshop Scheduled

The Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard, will offer a two-day workshop on “Infrared Photography,” Saturday and Oct. 12. The workshop, taught by professional fine art photographer Ken Smith, is open to all photographers with some darkroom experience.

Cost of the workshop is $100, plus a $5 lab fee. To register, or for more information, call the school at 328-0900.

Inquiring minds

“The Shuttle Passes: A Creative Response to the Industrial Revolution,” will be discussed by historian Theresa Trebon at The Cutter Theatre in Metaline Falls, Wash., at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Trebon specializes in the Industrial Revolution and its impact on the practice of traditional hand crafts.

The free lecture is part of a series sponsored by the Washington Commission for the Humanities through “Inquiring Mind: A Forum in the Humanities,” a statewide speakers bureau.
