Thieves Break Windows To Get Into Businesses

From Staff And Wire Reports

A health center and liquor store were burglarized this weekend by crooks who smashed windows so they could get in and take some loot.

Two computer monitors were stolen from the offices of the Holy Family Health Center at 235 E. Rowan. Police found a broken window in the building about 1 a.m. on Sunday, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

At the Hillyard Liquor Store, 4725 N. Market, seven bottles of liquor were taken early Saturday. A security camera tape showed rocks being thrown through the store’s window. Then a man entered, grabbed the booze and fled. The crime took about 20 seconds, Cottam said. , DataTimes
