St. Paul’s Continues Anniversary Celebration

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will continue celebrating its 110th anniversary with two special events on Sunday. The 10:30 a.m. worship service will feature the Rev. Ruth Mathis, district superintendent. The service will be followed by a reception with hors d’oeuvres.

James Barrett, music director of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, will perform on the church’s Moeller pipe organ at 4 p.m. A reception will follow the free performance.

Bible gets interactive

New Hope Bible Church, 2804 E. Euclid, will present “Walk Thru the Bible,” an overview of the Old Testament, during a seminar on Sunday. Children, teens and adults are invited to learn the major characters and events of the Bible in an interactive learning experience.

The program will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon and will reconvene at 4 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. A dinner break will be scheduled. The cost is $7 for children and $11 for adults. Dinner will cost $3. Child care will be provided for children through 3 years of age.

Scholarships for the workshop are available. Preregistration is preferred. To register or for more information, call the church at 487-1017.

Work on perception

The Church of Divine Man, 2803 N. Lincoln, will host a workshop on clairvoyance Sunday at 1 p.m. The workshop will introduce techniques to help people activate, direct, and use clairvoyance. The workshop will also include a question-and-answer period and demonstrations.

Audubon hosts annual bazaar

The Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd., will host its annual holiday bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will include baked goods, crafts, used books and CDs, and other items.

There will also be a tea room serving homemade pie and coffee. An afghan, quilt and stained glass art will be raffled off. Raffle tickets are $1 each or five tickets for $3.
