The committee will discuss rate stabilization and a grant from Washington Water Power.

Boundary Review Board

The board will be briefed on minor changes in state law affecting the way it operates. At 3 p.m., the board will hear about a city of Spokane proposal to extend its sewers to 40.5 acres outside the city limits, including to the Spokane Humane Society building at 6607 N. Havana St.

Among other business at the 2 p.m. meeting, commissioners will decide whether to form a team of scientists to determine “best available science” for growth management decisions. Commissioners also will decide whether to raise the fee from $100 to $200 for other counties using the county’s autopsy lab. No 5 p.m. meeting this week.

The hearing examiner will consider a request from Washington Trust Bank and Kiemle & Hagood Co. to build a 2,359-square-foot bank branch with five drive-up lanes at 2415 E. 29th Ave.

The committee will discuss a proposal to increase the annual stormwater utility fee, which now is $10 for a typical house. Some advisory committee members say the fee should increase to $40 or $50 to give the county money to tackle flood problems.

Spokane County Planning Commission

Among other business, the commission will decide whether to recommend that the county allow manufactured homes for dependent relatives in many residential neighborhoods.
