Rusedski Gains Final

Fourth-seeded Greg Rusedski of Britain made quick work of countryman Tim Henman to set up a match against Goran Ivanisevic in the final of the $800,000 CA Trophy tennis tournament in Vienna, Austria.

Rusedski beat Henman 6-4, 6-4 in only 59 minutes. Ivanisevic, the third seed from Croatia, struggled to a 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) victory over Richard Krajicek.

Switzerland’s Martina Hingis, seeking her 11th title of the year, routed South Africa’s Amanda Coetzer 6-2, 6-1 to reach the final of the Filderstadt WTA Tour event in Filderstadt, Germany.

Hingis, 17, will face American Lisa Raymond, a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Romania’s Irina Spirlea.

Jan Michael Gambill of Colbert was eliminated in the semifinals of the $100,000 Sante Fe Development-USTA Challenger tournament in Sedona, Ariz.

Gambill lost to Glenn Weiner 6-3, 6-7, 6-7. Gambill advanced to the semis with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Daniel Nestor.
