Central Methodist Launches Club Christo For Teens

Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third, has started a new youth ministry program called Club Christo.

The focus of the new ministry is to bring unchurched teens into the church and into a relationship with God. The club will meet each Saturday at 7 p.m.

The teens will have the opportunity to listen to concerts, play games in the gym and use the game room, which features pool and Foos Ball tables.

Bazaar and lunch on Saturday

Centenary United Methodist Church, 1012 S. Freya, will host its 35th annual bazaar and lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The bazaar will feature baked goods, rummage, crafts, plants and more.

The Russian Baptist Church, which meets at Centenary, will serve an authentic Russian lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for the lunch are $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for children and will be available at the door.

Classical guitar on Sunday

Classical guitarist James Reid will present a recital at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 24th and Grand Boulevard. Reid has performed around the country for the past 20 years and founded the Northwest Guitar Festival.

Tickets for the recital are $10 and will be available at the door.

Cheney church hosting Moore

Christian singer and songwriter Jim Moore will perform during the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services Sunday at Cheney United Methodist Church, 204 Fourth St. Moore has been performing in the Northwest for 25 years.

All are invited to attend the special services.
