Motorist Arrested After Car Stopped

Spokane Police found a stolen handgun and drugs Friday afternoon when they stopped a car for a routine traffic violation, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

Police stopped the car in an alley near Bernard and Riverside about 2:45 p.m. They learned the driver was driving with a suspended license and that the car was stolen, said Cottam.

Jess H. Jacobs, 35, 7613 E. Kiernan, was booked on suspicion of felony possession of a handgun, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. , DataTimes
