No Kids Hurt In Bus Accident

Associated Press

A car ran a stop sign Thursday and crashed into a school bus in a hit-and-run accident, police said. None of the children aboard the bus was seriously injured.

A Cadillac sped through a stop sign and hit a school bus carrying 10 middle-school students, flipping the bus over, police and witnesses said.

The driver and occupants of the Cadillac ran from the scene, Officer Paul Wiltfong told KIRO-TV.

The 10 children, who ranged in age from 10 to 13, were taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, where all were treated and released.

The bus driver sustained minor bumps and bruises and also was treated and released, hospital spokesman Todd Kelly said.
