Carr Drives All Over Eagles

 

Great Northern

Aaron Carr rushed for 208 yards on 11 carries and Medical Lake (5-1, 3-1) intercepted four passes to defeat visiting Lake side 35-12 Friday in a Great Northern League game with big playoff implications.

ML tied Pullman for second place, one game behind Chewelah and one game ahead of Lakeside (3-3, 2-2) and Deer Park. The league’s top three teams advance to the playoffs.

Brandon Moore added 63 yards on 14 carries as the Cardinals piled up 310 rushing yards. ML, content on the ground, attempted five passes. The Eagles rushed for 229 yards.

Ryan Walters and Hunter Rains combined for 155 yards on 27 carries to lead the fifth-ranked Cougars (6-0, 4-0) over the visiting Stags (2-4, 2-2).

Ryan Gray completed 4 of 8 for 92 yards for Chewelah, including two passes to Josh Parrish for 69 yards. Chewelah outgained DP 331-214.

Cole Sheridan rushed for 162 yards on six carries and Aaron Linehan passed for 184 to lead the seventh-ranked Greyhounds (5-1, 3-1) over the host Indians (2-4, 1-3).

Nate Brown added 85 yards on five catches as Pullman piled up 447 yards. Colville’s Justin Divis had 16 carries for 84 yards. Pullman checked the Indians on 160 yards.

Troy Patrick rushed for 111 yards on 12 carries and Danny Leaf passed for 89 yards to guide the Rams (2-4, 1-3) over the visiting Grizzlies (0-6, 0-4) at Chattaroy.

Riverside’s Paul Gorman added two interceptions.

Kyle Keihn carried 25 times for 122 yards and Eli Marsh passed for 110 for Newport.
