Fish Will Spawn Forum Discussions

A Nov. 3 town hall meeting on fish may appeal to anyone who is fed up to the gills with election campaigns.

The public forum features two panels of policy makers and scientists, including Bern Shanks, director of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Topics will include the status of salmon, trout and other fish in the region; policies for protecting the fish; watershed management; and how hatcheries and pollution affect fish.

The event, sponsored by the Kettle Range Conservation Group, will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Colville High School. , DataTimes
