Personal: Age 57 … customer service supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service … married with four grown stepdaughters and one grown stepson … enjoys mountain biking, golfing, watching sports and working at the sewer district.

Education: Graduated from Blanchet High School in Seattle … One year of college at University of Washington.

Last book read: “In the Line of Fire.”

Favorite book: The Black Stallion series.

Greatest Accomplishment: Working with United Good Neighbors and the Liberty Lake Sewer District, learning to work together with all types of people.

Biggest Regret: No big regrets.

Person he most admires: His third-grade teacher, Mrs. McCollum, who helped him overcome his struggles with reading and other subjects. “I’m constantly reading now.”

Changes he would make: He would increase the sewer district’s authority to regulate remodeling projects, which aren’t currently held to the same pollution controls, to better protect the lake and the environment.
