Accomplishments: Increased awareness of parental involvement and community involvement. “Test scores have gone from bad/mediocre to among the best in the area” … “When I came on, the board had no reserve account, and we ended the year last year with $1.3 million in the bank.” At the same time, West Valley pays its teachers on the state’s salary schedule. .. “The board and central administration and entire district are very cohesive, I think.”
