Local Job Growth Strong In Decade
Jobs, businesses and payrolls continued to grow in Spokane County through the middle part of the decade, according to Census Bureau data released Thursday.
The federal government reported that in 1995, Spokane County had 11,260 businesses, 154,255 employees and annual payroll of $3.63 billion. Comparable 1994 totals were 11,142 businesses, 148,842 employees and $3.4 billion annual payroll.
