Analysis

If Seattle’s injury list was a hair smaller, particularly at wide receiver, I’d feel more comfortable picking the Seahawks. But it’s alarming when the line is banged up (and that’s not counting Howard Ballard’s twist-tie knees), the runners are dinged, the receivers are battered and the quarterback is 40! So, again, Seattle’s defense must carry the day. The chore will be difficult, considering the Raiders’ vast weaponry. But Oakland’s strength - the big play - corresponds with Seattle’s - bending but not breaking. Hawks ride 12th man and Todd Peterson field goal to narrow win. , DataTimes MEMO: For live updates, final results and pregame reports on the Seahawks, call The Spokesman-Review Sportsline at 458-8800 in Spokane and 765-8811 in Coeur d’Alene and enter 4242.
