Dolph Camilli, a slugging first baseman who propelled the Brooklyn Dodgers to a long-awaited pennant in 1941 and became one of the most popular players in Flatbush, died Tuesday in San Mateo, Calif. He was 90.
DISCOVERY
Researchers lead by researcher Robert Gallo announced Thursday that they have identified a natural molecule that prevents HIV from infecting cells, a basic discovery they say could lead eventually to powerful new types of AIDS drugs or even a vaccine.
