Tips Sought On Burglaries

From Staff And Wire Reports

Secret Witness is offering cash rewards for information about two recent Spokane burglaries that may be related.

The first break-in occurred Oct. 11 at the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds office on North Havana.

Someone forced open the locked office door during the “Home Improvement Show” and took more than $8,000 in cash. Police said the admission receipts were left on a table by an employee who left the office about 10 p.m. The cash was reported missing about a half-hour later.

The second burglary occurred the night of Oct. 19 at the Spokane Convention and Ag Trade Centers. More than $7,000 collected during “Family-a-Fair” was stolen from an admissions booth.

The door to the booth was locked, police said, and there was no evidence that it had been forced.

Anyone who has information on either burglary is asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Callers don’t have to use their names to be eligible for the cash reward. , DataTimes
