Hyperactive Romance Far From ‘Ordinary’

“A Life Less Ordinary,” a hyperactive romance by the makers of “Trainspotting,” is an over-imaginative tale of the implausibilities of love and fate. Ewan McGregor is a loser. In one day he loses his job, girlfriend, house and mind, and winds up kidnapping his ex-boss’ daughter (Cameron Diaz). McGregor, far from being a criminal mastermind, and Diaz, aroused by being a hostage, set out on a whimsical flight of mayhem.
