Boy Killed In Hit-And-Run Accident

A 9-year-old boy riding his bicycle Monday afternoon was killed by a hit-and-run driver, police said.

Police were looking for the driver of a newer-model green minivan, KING-TV reported.

Two boys were riding their bikes when one of them was struck by the van at South 54th Street and South Tacoma Way, police said.

The victim died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver apparently got out of the van, saw the injured child, and drove away, police said.
