Some Races Will Wait Till November

South Spokane County school board and fire district candidates won’t be seeing primary colors this year.

Those races won’t be listed on the election ballots for the Sept. 16 primary. That’s because the races are either two-way contests with no reason to narrow the field before the general election, or they’re simply uncontested.

Look for these elections on ballots in November:

Great Northern School District - Position No. 1: John J. Condon Jr.

Position No. 2: Mary J. Patrick.

Liberty School District - Position No. 1: Michael F. Connelly.

Position No. 2: Linda D. Booth DeFord.

Position No. 3: Michael P. Dodson and Marie Tellessen.

Position No. 4: George L. Engle and Roberta Winn MacKay.

Fire Protection District 8 - Commissioner Position No. 1: Del W. Blaine and Ralph E. Schaefer.

Medical Lake School District - Position 1: Chester A. Carothers Jr.

Position 3: Julie B. Albright.

Position 5: Margaret E. Schweikhardt.
