Moore Leads UI To Win Over Portland

Jessica Moore’s 15 kills and 15 digs Saturday led Idaho (2-4) to a 15-12, 11-15, 5-15, 16-14, 15-10 win over the University of Portland (3-3) in an early match at the Idaho Classic in Moscow.

The Vandals, also scheduled to play a night match, ended their losing streak at four.

Beth Craig added 13 kills and 13 digs, Shalyne Lynch 15 kills, and Lani Kim 45 assists and 14 digs for Idaho. For the Pilots, K.T. Lamb had 20 kills and 20 digs, and Rebecca Eldridge 52 assists.

Kim Exner’s 20 kills and 16 digs helped Eastern Washington (5-1) to a 12-15, 5-15, 15-13, 15-11, 15-6 win over Cal State Northridge (6-1) at the Nevada-Las Vegas Classic.

Lynn Robison added 14 kills and 25 digs for the Eagles, who hit .533 in the fifth game.
