Golden Pen Award Winner

The Spokesman-Review is pleased to announce that Kathie E. Fiessinger of Coeur d’Alene has won the monthly Golden Pen Award.

Fiessinger’s Aug. 22 letter commented on the difficulties faced by working parents of students in the Coeur d’Alene School District.

The Golden Pen Award expresses the newspaper’s appreciation for letter writers who demonstrate exceptional eloquence and clarity in their contributions to our Roundtable page. The monthly winners, like the weekly nominees, are chosen by Opinion page staff. The monthly winners receive a 10-karat-gold Cross pen.
