Not Rid Of Wifey No. 2, Is Trump Seeking No. 3?

Compiled By Staff Writer Dan Web

The word from down south is that Donald Trump is getting married.

This, of course, should come as a surprise to Marla Maples since she hasn’t yet become exwife No. 2. But such legalities didn’t bother the Venezuelan newspaper Nuevo Pais, which is reporting that the New York tycoon is serious about Venezuelan beauty queen Irene Saez.

Saez, 35, was crowned Miss Universe in 1981. Four years ago she was elected mayor of Chacao, a town near Caracas. According to Nuevo Pais (literally “New Country’), Saez and Trump have been having a “steamy romance” and are on the verge of marriage.

But here’s the best part: If Saez wins the Venezuelan presidency, for which she is campaigning, the newspaper says, she “would be governing Venezuela from the Trump Tower in New York.”

Loose talk

David Byrne on his changing musical style (as reported by the Associated Press): “There are people who feel that I betrayed them, that they put their faith in me and I failed them. But I never said put your faith in me. I’ll betray you every time.”

For him, Hollywood fame was an alien concept

Henry Thomas turns 26 today.

It sounds even more intelligent in French

This from Richard Martineau, editor of Montreal’s French-language alternative newspaper Voir, on Howard Stern’s contention that Canadian French should speak English: “If you take Howard Stern seriously, you have a problem.”

He could direct, but he couldn’t direct her

Since they’ve been separated since April, it should come as no surprise that director Renny Harlin and actress Geena Davis are divorcing. She filed on Tuesday. The cause: irreconcilable differences.

Which proves only that aliens have invaded her body

Weeks after reports of drunken brawls that left her crying and, in one case, scarred, Whitney Houston was spotted dining with husband Bobby Brown. And, surprise-surprise, the two were acting like lovebirds. The place: the Shark Bar, an upscale New York eatery. Houston even agreed to sign an autograph.

And people say that the tabloid press has no value

Speaking of Donald Trump, word is that he used a particularly tacky way to tell Marla Maples that their marriage was over. He supposedly slipped a copy of the New York Post, which had already printed the story, on their bed so that she could see it first thing when she awoke.

Wonder how they manage to keep her coffee warm

Buzz magazine has awarded its coveted “Bonehead” prize to actress Parker Posey. According to the mag, Posey - on the set of the movie “The Misadventures of Margaret” - demands that a production assistant “smoke her cigarettes halfway down, so they’d be just how she likes them between takes.”
