Vera Parmley Creston, B. C.

Graveside service for Vera Parmley, 81, will be held today at 11 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Parmley, who was born in New Mexico, died Wednesday.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Texas and attended the University of West Texas, receiving a bachelor of science degree in sociology.

Mrs. Parmley went on to teach school for a year while waiting for her appointment with the U.S. government as a government interviewer.

She resigned in 1945 and eventually settled in the Creston, B.C., area.

She was involved in the P.T.A. and was active in many things in Bonners Ferry.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry.

Survivors include her husband, Odie of British Columbia; a son, Bruce Parmley of British Columbia; a brother, Hugh (Clare) Herrington of Texas; and two granddaughters, Sarah and Naomi.

Eugene Job Post Falls

Memorial service for Eugene H. Job, 77, will be held today at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 152 W. Prairie Ave., Hayden, Idaho. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Job, who was born in South Dakota, died Thursday.

He served with the Civilian Conservation Corp in South Dakota during World War II and later worked as a heavy equipment operator in various cities in South Dakota.

Mr. Job moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1964 and worked for the Milwaukee Railroad until retiring in 1980.

He was a member of Grace Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Tillie; one son, Peter Job of Coeur d’Alene; five daughters, Connie Huber of Minnesota, Sharon Terrell of Everett, Jane Job of North Bend, Wash., and Debbie Raybell and Beth Polyhar, both of Hayden Lake; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Verlee Bush Hayden, Idaho

Memorial service for L. Verlee Bush, 90, will be held at a later date in Oregon. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Bush, who was born in Missouri, died Thursday.

She grew up near Parma, Idaho, before moving to Oregon.

She moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1994 to be near family.

Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husband, Ensor (Buster.) Survivors include two sons, Ervin Bush of California and Lloyd Bush of North Carolina; one daughter, Erna Headrick of Hayden; three sisters, Margie Peterson of Missouri, Marie Henley of Caldwell, Idaho, and Edna Trunnell of Oregon; a brother, Earl Ware of Nampa, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Xavier Aitken Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Burial Mass for Xavier George Aitken, 75, was Saturday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry. Burial was at Mission Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Aitken, who was born on the Cass Lake Chippewa Indian Reservation in Minnesota, died Wednesday.

He was raised on the reservation until moving to Montana, where he worked as a logger before participating in the Bureau of Indian Affairs relocation program and moving to Los Angeles, where he was a factory worker.

He moved to Idaho several years later and worked as a logger before later moving to Oregon.

Mr. Aitken returned to Idaho in the 1980s and settled in Bonners Ferry.

Mr. Aitken was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include nine children, Bernadine, Gary, Larry, Mildred, Rex and Robert Aitken, all of Bonners Ferry, Marva Aitken and Don Stone, both of Minnesota, and Jason Aitken of Oregon; two sisters, Georgianna Aitken-Felgum and Elizabeth Fairbanks, both of Minnesota; a brother, Joseph Aitken of Minnesota; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
