Three Questioned In North Side Incident

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane police officers and a SWAT team spent Sunday afternoon watching a North Side house after receiving a call that a woman inside was unable to leave and her ex-boyfriend had a handgun.

The incident in the 4400 block of North Whitehouse ended peacefully after five hours, when the woman and two men left the house voluntarily, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Police took the trio into custody and questioned them. The woman and one man - who happened to be in the house at the time but not involved - were released, Cottam said.

Roland Finney, 22, was jailed after police found two outstanding warrants against him, Cottam said. One was for reckless driving, the other for a traffic-related incident. He is expected to remain in jail until a court appearence today.
