Portland Scores Fast, Deadlocks Nwl Series

The Portland Rockies scored four runs in the first inning and went on to defeat the Boise Hawks 6-0 Tuesday night, knotting their best-of-5 Northwest League championship series at two games apiece.

The series stays in Portland for tonight’s decisive Game 5.

Portland left-hander Josh Kalinowski and three relievers doled out seven hits. Portland collected seven hits off four Boise pitchers, scoring its other two runs in the second inning.
