Georgia Peterschick Rosalia

Memorial service for Georgia Lillian Peterschick, 97, will be at 2 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in Rosalia, Wash. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peterschick, who was born in Rensselaer, Ind., died Sunday.

She was a resident of the Rosalia/ Plaza area for 75 years.

Mrs. Peterschick was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Peterschick.

She was a member of the Rosalia United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Plaza Grange, Plaza Community Club, Rosalia Garden Club, and the Inland Empire Dahlia Society. She was an accredited National Council of Flower Shows master judge.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Wyer of Olympia and Marian Adams of Lewiston; a son, David Peterschick of Rosalia; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rosalia Mini Park Memorial Planting Fund or United Methodist Church in Rosalia.

Patrick Gourneau Otis Orchards

Rosary for Patrick Alec (Misko Maquah Gourneau, 42, will be 7 p.m. today at the Community Building in Usk, Wash. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Usk. Burial will follow at the Kalispel Tribal Cemetery in Usk. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gourneau, who was born at Fairchild Air Force Base, died Tuesday.

He worked as an artist in metal art.

He was a member of the Kalispel and Turtle Mountain Chippewa Tribes.

Survivors include a son, Patrick Gourneau Jr. of Desmet, Idaho; three daughters, Holly and Nichole Gourneau, both of Spokane and Kayla Gourneau of Desmet; his father, Kenneth Gourneau Sr.; his mother, Nellie Ignace Potter; four brothers, Kenneth Gourneau Jr., Heath Gourneau, Spokane Gary Gourneau and Jesse Madera; five sisters, Margaret and Marcella Madera, Colleen Cawston, Susan Finley and Alene Clayton; and three grandchildren.

Michael Flees Spokane

Memorial service for Michael C. Flees, 29, will be 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.

Mr. Flees, who was born Spokane, died Sunday of stab wounds. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

He was a construction worker and drywaller.

He is survived by his fiancee, Celeste Muller; his mother, Lois Kleinfeldt of Spokane; his father, William Flees of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Gerald Flees of Spokane, and three sisters, Debbie Taggart, Kathy Ader and Susanne Hurt, all of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Union Gospel Mission or the Crime Victim/Witness Fund, c/o the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.

Harold Bertholf Spokane

Service for Harold C. Bertholf, 85, was Thursday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial was at Pines Cemetery.

Mr. Bertholf, who died Sept. 5, was born in Benewah County, Idaho.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 1977 after 42 years of service.

He was a Spokane resident for 42 years.

Mr. Bertholf was a member of Valley Fourth Memorial Church.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Thelma; a son, Richard Bertholf of Glendora, Calif.; a daughter, Dixie Swain of Spokane; a sister, Helen Hart of Grandview, Wash.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Spokane Visiting Nurse Association.

Rose Isaksen Spokane

Memorial service for Rose Marie Isaksen, 70, will be held at a later date. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Isaksen, who was born in Genesee, Idaho, died Saturday.

She worked as a circulation clerk for Eastern Washington University.

In 1958 Mrs. Isaksen moved to Cheney. She moved to Spokane three years ago.

Her husband, Al, died in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Miller of Liberty Lake.

Geraldine Bauer Ritzville, Wash.

Visitation for Geraldine A. “Gerry” Bauer, 82, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon today at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville. Vault burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bauer, who was born in Kline, Wash., died Sunday.

She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1933.

In 1936 she married Clarence “Nance” Bauer.

They then moved to the Bauer farm, just west of Ritzville, in 1937.

Mrs. Bauer worked for Emerson Drug Store and J.C. Penny in Ritzville and for the Ritzville Trading Co.

She returned to Ritzville in 1972.

Her husband died in June.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Woman’s Business Club, Rebecca Lodge, and Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter AR.

Mrs. Bauer was selected Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year in 1991.

She was a Girl Scout leader and was active with the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include a son, Michael Bauer of Ritzville; two daughters, Connie Cooper of Yakima and Pamela VanWinkle of Wenatchee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter AR.

Ronald Willford Keller, Wash.

Memorial service for Ronald K. Willford, 67, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Wilbur, Wash. Inurnment will follow at Wilbur Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willford, who was born in Wilbur, died Sunday.

He was a graduate of Wilbur High School.

Mr. Willford served in the Navy in submarines.

After the service, he owned bars in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, worked at Lincoln Lumber and drove truck for S&P Meats in Spokane.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Wilbur.

Mr. Willford is survived by a daughter, Sharon Barret of Salem, Ore.; a son, John Willford of Coulee Dam, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Perrone Spokane

Visitation for Mary Perrone, 79, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Vigil service is set for 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel. Funeral Mass will be at at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Perrone, who died Monday, was born in Spokane.

She retired from Milwaukee Railroad and was a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1980.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy McGillen of Spokane; a son, Ronald Perrone of Tacoma; a brother, Tony Cassano of Spokane; three sisters, Teresa Naccarato of Spokane, and Angela Crowder and Josephine Kerwick, both of Silverdale, Wash.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Institute of Spokane.

Doris Snakeskin Spokane

Service for Doris J. Snakeskin, 69, will be 11 a.m. today at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Snakeskin, who was born in Browning, Mont., died Tuesday.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Snakeskin moved to Spokane from Yakima 20 years ago.

Her husband, David Snakeskin, died in 1993.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty and Marcia Snakeskin, Loraine Corona and Renee Torpey, all of Spokane; two sons, Howard and Irvin Snakeskin, both of Spokane; a sister, Agnes Walkingchild and a brother, Robert Gopher, both of Great Falls, Mont.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bertha Schell Moses Lake

Memorial service for Bertha Schell, 82, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Moses Lake. Private vault burial will follow at Ritzville (Wash.) Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schell, who was born in Ruff, Wash., died Wednesday.

In 1937 she married Henry Schell. They farmed together near Ruff.

Her husband died in 1977.

Mrs. Schell moved to Moses Lake in 1995.

She is survived by a son, Jim Schell of Marlin, Wash.; a daughter, Vivian Hoffman of Moses Lake; two brothers, Harvey Bischoff of Ruff and Marvin Bischoff of Walla Walla; a sister, Helen Jones of Portland; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
