Quarterback Sennett Pierce pierced the East Valley defense for 380 yards Friday night as visiting Lewiston defeated East Valley 41-3 in a non-league football opener for EV.

Pierce completed 26 of 39 passes for four touchdowns and no interceptions. Lewiston (2-0), the defending Idaho State A-1 Division II champion, totaled 18 first downs to the Knights’ 11.

EV, a favorite to win the Frontier League, picked up 11 penalties for 135 yards.

Adam Fehling threw a 4-yard TD pass to Cameron Christiansen with 8 seconds left to lift the Trojans (1-0-1) over the visiting Blackhawks.

PF’s Scott Chamberlain rushed for 178 yards on 28 carries. Fehling completed eight passes for 34 yards.

Pat Stiffler completed 7 of 11 for 45 yards and Pat Laughlin rushed for 60 yards on 13 carries for Cheney.
