Reardan Blasts Republic 38-0

Roundup

When the Northeast B-11 League was split this year, Reardan and Republic found themselves as preseason favorites in different leagues.

Reardan was clearly in a different league than Republic Friday, as the Indians ran and passed their way to a 38-0 road win as the area football season opened with several non-league matchups.

Reece Jenkin and Peter Eastman combined for 171 yards on 20 carries, and Rhett Soliday was 7 of 12 for 103 yards for Reardan of the Bi-County League.

Republic, now in the Panorama League, committed eight turnovers and was penalized for 60 yards. The Tigers came within seconds of last year’s State B-11 final, losing to DeSales in a semifinal at Albi Stadium.
