A 2-month-old Spokane Valley infant hospitalized earlier this month for shaken baby syndrome has been upgraded to satisfactory condition, police said Saturday.
The child was listed in critical condition for more than a week after suffering possible brain damage from being shaken.
The infant’s 16-year-old mother told police the baby had been injured while she was at work. The mother wasn’t sure what day the injury took place. The child had been left with several people over several days, the woman told officials. Police say they’re still investigating the incident.
