Man Hit By Car On Francis Avenue

A 41-year-old Spokane man suffered a broken arm and leg Saturday night when he was hit by a car on Francis Avenue at Oak, according to Spokane police.

Brian Washburn had multiple fractures of his left leg and arm, which required surgery, according to a statement from Sgt. Anthony Giannetto.

Washburn was walking across Francis when he was hit by a car driven by Michael Fielding, 20, of Spokane.

The accident is under investigation, but no charges have been filed, Giannetto said.
