Question Is, Has Irene Fallen For The Donald?

Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

Ivana Trump, split from latest hubby Riccardo Mazzuchelli, has found a ready replacement: Roffredo Gaetoni D’Aragoan, a handsome, 6-foot-3 Italian count.

Ivana admits to be “really crazy about him,” but adds: “He is a very private person. I do not wish to speak about him. I say only that he fell from the sky.”

Recent reports of Donald Trump’s plans to wed former Venezuelan beauty queen Irene Saez, who’s now the mayor of a town called Chacao and is campaigning for her country’s presidency, sound a little less solid.

When asked point-blank about their romance during a visit to Miami last week, Saez giggled and said: “Donald Trump - Mr. Donald Trump - is truly a gentleman who values the concept of friendship highly, as I do.”

Loose talk

Designer Isaac Mizrahi, on Princess Diana’s influence on fashion: “Diana was the last ladylike person that existed in the world. I don’t even want to be a lady anymore.”

No, not the one married to Pamela Anderson

Tommy Lee Jones turns 51 today.

Frank Gifford would be a better replacement

Former “America’s Funniest Home Videos” host Bob Saget is being sued for divorce by his wife, Sherri. Saget, who’s yielding the job to MTV personality Daisy Fuentes this season, is said to have been spending time with former “China Beach” star Dana Delany.

Why get hitched? She’s aleady got his dough

Dean Cain, aka Superman in TV’s “Lois & Clark,” is engaged to country singer Mindy McCready - although you wouldn’t know it by looking at her left hand. Instead of a ring, Cain gave McCready a twisted circle of bread, which he sees as symbolic of “an unbreakable bond.”

No word whether they were parkerhouse rolls

Shoppers in England reportedly threw bread rolls at Camilla Parker Bowles last week, ostensibly in disapproval of her being the mistress of Prince Charles, whose plan to go public with their relationship has been dashed by Princess Diana’s death.

Why didn’t it last? It was just the way he was

Billy Joel admits to having an affair with Elle Macpherson after his marriage to Christie Brinkley hit the skids, adding that Macpherson inspired his hit “And So It Goes.” Said Joel: “She was too young (19) and I was too old (33). She was too tall and I was too short. She was too pretty and I was too ugly. But, man, while it lasted, it was great.”

Cows? Some of her best friends are moo-ish

Speaking of Christie Brinkley, she’s filed a $42 million libel suit against the National Enquirer, charging that the tabloid published “malicious lies” about her - including that she had a nervous breakdown, suffered delusions and paranoia, became a “wild shopaholic” who spent $30,000 a day on clothes and had an irrational fear of cows.
