Three Killed In Accident Near Libby

Associated Press

Three people died when a car struck a deer eight miles south of here and slid into a pickup truck.

The Montana Highway Patrol said the crash Sunday night on U.S. 2 killed two Libby teenagers, 15 and 18, and a 63-year-old woman from Lynden, Wash. Their names were not immediately released.

The teenagers were in the car, and the woman was a passenger in the truck.

Her husband was in serious but stable condition today at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby.

The car came to rest in a ditch and burst into flames, the patrol said.
