Larry Judd Spokane

Memorial service for Larry A. Judd, 55, will be at 11 a.m. today at Central Baptist Church. Private burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Judd, who was born in Colville, Wash., died Monday.

He graduated from North Central High School and studied art at Spokane Falls Community College.

In 1982 he married Wanda Johnson.

Mr. Judd worked as a dishwasher at Newberry’s and later as a dishwasher and kitchen helper at the Davenport Hotel. After the hotel closed he worked as a kitchen helper at the Shilo Inn until his early retirement.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Craig Rost, at home, and Mark Rost of Spokane; his parents, Robert and Edith Judd of Spokane; four brothers, Stanley Judd of Spokane, Robert Judd of Springfield, Ill., Mike Judd of Valley, Wash., and Sam Judd of Colville; a sister, Kathryn Schulz of Deer Park; and eight grandchildren.

Robert Kelch Post Falls

Memorial service for Robert Lloyd Kelch, 62, will be at 11 a.m. today at Pleasantview Church in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kelch, who was born in West Virginia, died Friday.

He worked as a mail carrier in Greenacres.

Mr. Kelch had lived in Seattle for eight years before moving to Post Falls in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly; three sons, Patrick Convey of Auburn, Wash., and Marc and Rick Convey, both of Everett; three daughters, Susan Haines of Oregon, Terri Kelch of Nevada and Tanya Kelch of California; two sisters, Evelyn Seabolt and Martha Broussard, both of Bremerton; and six grandchildren.

Geraldine Davis Spokane

Service for Geraldine M. Davis, 78, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Born in Orofino, Idaho, Mrs. Davis died Sunday.

She graduated in 1937 from North Central High School.

Mrs. Davis worked in the shipping department of the Burroughs Corp. in Spokane for 21 years until her retirement.

Her husband, Charles Davis, died in 1971.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Rowell of Spokane; two sons, Gary Masters of Duarte, Calif., and Robert Hampton of St. Louis; three sisters, Idesta Green of Alaska, and Marylou Kimsey and Bernice Miner, both of Spokane; a brother, Gerald Nygaard of Orofino; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Frank Walker St. Maries

Service for Frank M. Walker, 95, is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.

Mr. Walker, a longtime minister, died Saturday.

He was born in Arkansas and grew up in Oklahoma, graduating from high school there.

Mr. Walker taught elementary school before becoming a minister and evangelist, serving throughout the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest.

He moved to St. Maries in 1971 and pastored at Seventh Day Church of God churches in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Walker taught bible prophecy at Maranatha College in Meridian, Idaho, from 1968 to 1970 and later started the Seventh Day Church of God in St. Maries, where he was recently the pastor.

His first wife, Flossie, died in 1981.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three sons, Elder Lloyd and Elder Kenneth Walker, both of Missouri, and Frank Walker Jr. of New Mexico; a daughter, Bernice Spooner of St. Maries; two stepsons, Jim Andrus of Endicott, Wash., and Bruce Andrus of Redmond, Wash.; a brother, Elder Kenneth Walker of Alabama; two sisters, Ruby Wood of Oklahoma and Louise Clark of California; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Edwin Zehm Spokane

Service for Edwin A. Zehm, 89, will be at 11 a.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Zehm, who was born in Fairfield, died Friday.

He worked for the bakery department of Rosauers and was a resident of Spokane for 70 years.

Mr. Zehm was a member of the Bakers Union for 50 years.

His wife of 20 years, Lela, died in 1987.

He is survived by a son, Melvin Zehm of Spokane; a daughter, Barbara Niswonger of Wallace, Kan.; two brothers, Otto and Paul Zehm, both of Spokane; a sister, Laura Chaflin of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Roy Reed Newport, Wash.

Memorial service for Roy T. Reed, former Newport mayor, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sherman Knapp Funeral Home in Newport. Inurnment will follow at Newport Cemetery with the Veterans of Foreign Wars presiding.

Mr. Reed, who was born in Walla Walla, died Saturday. He was 75.

He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He received the Air Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters for service in World War II and a sixth Oak Leaf Cluster for service in the Korean War.

In 1953 he married Evelyn Easley in Seattle.

They moved to Marysville, Wash., in 1966. He worked as a sales representative there and owned a consulting business. From 1979 until his retirement in 1987 he worked as a district manger for Time Oil Co. in Seattle.

After his retirement Mr. Reed moved to Newport.

Mr. Reed was mayor of Newport from 1990 to 1994.

In 1993 he chaired the finance committee for the construction of the Stuart B. Bradley Building.

He was a member of the Assisted Living Committee, Eagles Lodge No. 3443, Kiwanis Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife.

Jodi Provo Spokane

Memorial service for Jodi Lyn Provo, 35, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. A potluck will follow the service. Bruce Lee Funeral Home in Pasco is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Provo, who was born in Wayne, Mich., died Sep. 6 in a drowning accident in the Columbia River while on a recreational scuba diving trip.

She worked as a sales representative for Multifab-SBI Inc. for several years. She had recently started a new job with US West.

She also had operated a small custom-framing business out of a studio at her home.

He memberships included the Spokane County Search and Rescue team.

She is survived by her fiance, Tim Farrell of Spokane; a daughter, Emily Sutch of Spokane; her mother, Jean Provo of Milford, Mich.; a brother, Roger Provo of Milford; and a sister, Lorie Lashwood of Fort Collins, Colo.

Velma Messmore Sandpoint

Visitation for Velma L. Messmore, 87, will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Coffelt’s Moon Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane.

Mrs. Messmore, who was born in Louisiana, died Monday.

She worked as a taxi cab dispatcher in Moscow, Idaho, during World War II and later moved to Spokane before living in Cocolalla, Idaho.

Mrs. Messmore moved to Sandpoint in 1966 and worked for Dr. Agnes Snedden and the Ben Franklin Store.

She was a member of the Sandpoint Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion Auxiliary, holding three state offices.

Her first husband, Arthur McCarty, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Fulton; a stepdaughter, Freda Fournier of Sandpoint; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Forrest ‘Sunshine’ Renslow Spokane

Private family graveside service will be held for Forrest C. ‘Sunshine’ Renslow, 74, at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Renslow, a 50-year Spokane resident, died Friday.

He was born in Cumberland, Wis.

He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and then served in the Army. He was involved in the Battle of the Bulge.

Mr. Renslow was a self-employed carpenter.

His memberships included the Veterans of Foreign War and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by three daughters, Wanda Bickerton and Carol Clausen, both of Spokane, and Kathy Stroyan of Chattaroy; a son, Forrest Renslow Jr. of Spokane; two sisters, Kathryn Kaselau and Ester Schaubacklager, both of Rice Lake, Wis.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rodney Lockman Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Rodney L. Lockman, 49, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fox Auditorium Resource Building at Kootenai Medical Center. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lockman, who was born in Los Angeles, died Saturday.

He had lived in Spokane for 17 years before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1991 and had worked as an engineer in the maintenance department at Kootenai Medical Center.

Mr. Lockman was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include his wife, Renata; three daughters, Tanya and Gina Lockman, both of Bellingham and Elisabeth Lockman of Spokane; a stepson, Jared Coute of Coeur d’Alene; three stepdaughters, Eileen VanZandt and Cara Coute, both of Coeur d’Alene, and Jessica Coute of Spirit Lake, Idaho; his mother, Edith Lockman of California; and a sister, Shelly Flores of California.

Muriel McIntee Greenacres

Service for Muriel L. McIntee, 83, will be held at a later date in Staples, Minn. Burial will follow in Staples. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Staples, Mrs. McIntee died Saturday.

She was as a homemaker and had lived in Liberty Lake since 1963.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Anderberg of Forest Lake, Minn., and Larry Anderberg of Liberty Lake; a daughter, Marcia Herrick of Duluth, Minn.; three brothers, Lawrence and Roger Hammond, both of Staples, and Richard Hammond of Granite Falls, Minn.; and six grandchildren.

Pauline ‘Nanny’ Bowers Newport, Wash.

Service for Pauline “Nanny” Bowers, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sherman Knapp Funeral Home in Newport. Burial will follow at the Newport Cemetery.

Born in Newport, Mrs. Bowers died Sunday.

In 1926 she married Walter Bowers in Sandpoint.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, James Bowers of Oldtown, Idaho, and Lee Bowers of Newport; a daughter, Pauline Smith of Newport; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara Rippee Otis Orchards

Memorial service for Barbara Rippee, 58, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.

Born in Orange, Calif., Mrs. Rippee died Thursday.

Mrs. Rippee married Larry Rippee in 1956 in Long Beach, Calif.

She was a homemaker and had lived in the Spokane area for 21 years.

She was a member of the Lilac Blind Foundation.

Mrs. Rippee is survived by her husband; two daughters, Deborah Freeman of Mead and Linda Huseby of Spokane; a son, Gary Rippee of Newman Lake; a brother, Earl Waffle of Englewood, Calif.; a sister, Neta Weed of Bakersfield, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Marie White Kellogg

Service for Marie Joanne White, 60, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg. Burial will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Shoshone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. White, who was born in Wallace, died Friday.

She graduated as the valedictorian of Wallace High School in 1955 and was a lifetime Silver Valley resident.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and also worked as an X-ray technician at the old Wallace Hospital and Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg and had also worked for Dr. Bonebrake. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church, the Women’s Bible Study Circle, the Altar Guild and the church choir.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Morris “Buck” White; two sons, David White of Rathdrum and Randy White of Houston; a daughter, Michelle White of Spokane; a sister, Fern Cooper of Spokane; and five grandchildren.

Dorothy Gribble Mount Vernon, Wash.

Memorial Mass for Dorothy Ann Gribble, 84, was Tuesday at Immaculant Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. Inurnment will be held in Mullan, Idaho, at a later date. Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Mount Vernon is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gribble, who was born in Helena, died Sunday.

She graduated from Kinman Business School.

In 1938 she married Harold Gribble in Wallace.

Mrs. Gribble worked for Aerial Survey Co. in Spokane for several years. She and her husband later moved to Mullan, where she was a clerk for the city.

She had lived in Mount Vernon since 1993.

Her husband died in 1980.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mullan.

Survivors include a daughter, Anne O’Donell of Mount Vernon; a son, Joe Gribble of Clarkston, Wash.; a brother, George Carroll of Mount Vernon; a sister, Florence Brass of Wallace; and five grandchildren.

Raymond Wormuth Spokane

Memorial service for Raymond D. Wormuth, 77, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Blue Hill, Neb., Mr. Wormuth died Saturday.

He graduated from Otis Orchards High School and served in the Pacific Theater with the Marine Corps during World War II.

After the war he graduated from Kinman Business University with a degree in business administration.

In 1943 he married Irma McEachran.

Mr. Wormuth worked as an accountant for Coca-Cola in Spokane, as assistant manager of the Almira (Wash.) Farmers Warehouse and later became manager of the Rochdale Grain Co. in Nezperce, Idaho. He retired in 1978 and moved to Greenacres.

He was a member of the Reardan Masonic Lodge No. 146 where he was serving as the Worshipful Master, the Spokane Valley Veterans of Foreign War Post, the Lions Club, the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge and Concordia Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Wormuth was active in Pistols and Petticoats Square and Round Dance Club, the Magnolia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star No. 194 of Millwood and the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Edward Wormuth of Greenacres; two daughters, Sharon Bentz of Spokane and Diane Syron of Kooskia, Idaho; three brothers, a sister and five grandchildren.
